COPS WALK 2009, scheduled for October 10 and 11 in the Washington, DC, area is physically-challenging, emotionally rewarding experience. The registration form and COPS WALK 2009 information is now available online and registrations are being accepted at www.nationalcops.org. Deadline for registering as a walker is August 30, 2009, and pre-registration is mandatory. Out-of-town participants should plan to arrive on October 9.

Each participant must raise a minimum of $1,000 to participate; but since walkers raised the bar last year, the challenge is on for each walker to raise $2,500 or more. There is a special gift for all walkers who accomplish the latter.
